Is the EZ chakra spin a substitute for the individual chakra meditations? Do I do the indivudual chakra meditation for the specific day and the chakra spin, or just meditate on the chakra of that day?

1. The EZ chakra spin can substitute for a full chakra meditation, yes. It's a good meditation for beginners, but once you start to advance you should move on to the Full Chakra meditations to further empower your chakras. However, if you are short on time, the EZ Chakra Spin will still suffice.

2. Focusing on one chakra during it's hour and day drastically increases the amount of energy it receives, it's important to spin your other chakras afterwards to help balance out the energies in your chakras. You can then preform the Alternate Nostril(Sun/Moon) breathing exercise afterwards to even further help balance out the energies.
