Ok. Before I ask my question, I'm going to give you a little lesson about blood cells.
Red blood cells have the specific task of carrying oxygen throughout the body. If you have a low count, you probably have medical issues such as anemia. If you have a normal count, you are in a good range. And if you have a high count, this could mean many things. (As listed below)
*Disease, dehydration, living at a high altitude, excercising, smoking, steroid usage, or exposure to carbon monoxide.*Having a high count of white blood cells is bad because the purpose of white blood cells is to fight disease and illness within the body. If you have a low count, it means you get sick more than the average person, are very ill, or you get sick extremely easily without any effort. If you have the normal count than you are fine. But if you have a high count, that means there is a sickness in the body that the body itself is trying to fight off.
So now that you know that...
When I had my surgery, they did blood work, and they found out that my red blood cell count was normal. And my white blood cell count was a little high to try to fight my gall bladder infection. But after I was better, everything returned to normal and my red blood cell count returned to this level of normality as well. After about five days, I was more or less normal again. So I started catching up on the meditation that I missed and it was during this time that I awakened my kundalini for the first time. It wasn't painful but I was basically in a thin tank top and short shorts with my fan on full blast and my skin STILL felt hot. Nothing worked against it.So today, I was in the emergency room, and the doctor came in and said that my white blood cell count was normal but my red blood cell count was unnaturally high. I don't have any diseases, I drink plenty of fluids, I don't live at a high altitude, I don't excercise, I don't smoke, I don't use steroids, and my blood work didn't show exposure to carbon monoxide or else she would have said there was something wrong. I actually get sick about once or twice a year and usually heal within much less than twenty four hours. And it's a rare thing for me to find anything wrong with me at all.So after reading this, has anyone formed the hypothesis that maybe meditation can affect your mortality rate? (As in, health, vitality, endurance, sickness resistance, etc.) I'd like to shed some light on this, I'm very curious. And thank you in response for your answers.   |
