Magnum Opus Questions

I was just curious what experiences and time length of doing it anyone has concerning this meditation. I am going to start it soon and was wondering what others have to say about their own experiences.

I am starting work on the Magnum Opus. I know it will take a long time, but I was wondering what others have experienced as far as developement, time it has taken you to reach where you are currently with it, what has happened along the way, tips for things you've done, did you start before your khundalini (sp?) rose or after, etc.

Not having done this before, I would very much like to know what others have experienced.
