Just another boring introduction

Hello everyone, name's Drew and, as you've probably guessed by now, I've just joined the group.

I was taking a look at JoyOfSatan.Org there and found the link to this group. I have atheistic leanings, however, I am interested in what I have read so far, and would like to approach Satanism with an open mind. I understand that a spiritual path is a one which requires patience, which is something I hope I can provide. Of course, you all would know better than me.

The website makes a lot of sense; anyone who does their research knows exactly what Christianity is all about: lies and control. Judaism and Islam arguably have similar motives; especially the Jews.

Anyways, I hope some of you fine people can educate me on Satanism and it's practise. I look forward to learning as a member of this group.

HAHAHA!! It IS true that it is easier for an atheist to enter upon the path of progress rather than to a xian

Drew, believe me, you have just made ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS IN YOUR LIFE!! And when you dedicate...

My experience: when I learned and have been learning since Jan 2008 that yhwy is a lie, I became rebellious. And thus my hunger for knowledge grew... finally I found many LHP pages, and among those - JoS. I knew only one thing - that is... I was convinced, not that I knwe - that if yhwh is a lie than these 'demons' cannot be as evil, if at all. Seeking further I've learned that xianity has indeed warped and twisted everything they could and couldn't. So why to worship murderers, traitors, assassins and pillagers?
JoS tells you a lot and you shall benefit from it soon.

Well, thank you very much for the welcome. I do hope that I find this path to be as thrilling as you seem to.

Evil is an interesting concept. Personally, I believe 'evil' is a matter of individual perception; it is a word used to describe something which does not benefit the self. Otherwise, 'evil' could be viewed as 'good', as acts of supposed evil could be performed for perfectly justified self-benefit. I always say, the only justification needed to do something is the desire to do it and the confidence that it will work out positively for YOU; morality doesn't come into it. Personally, I completely discard the concept of morality, which perhaps makes me immoral in the eyes of others. Rather, I recognise that any "selfless" act is committed for arguably selfish reasons (even though they are counter-productive ones): either to satisfy a counter-productive compulsion or a positive desire. Otherwise, if you believe in freewill, we wouldn't make the decision to do the action.

I agree with you 100% Drew.
It is as I have always felt as well....there is NO EVIL. It doesn't exist.

There is no morality either. Each person creates their own morality, and ones may not be the same as another.

However I notice that the majority of people consider harming children to be "wrong"....and harming of innocent wrong.

I think we all have a sense of "justice"....
