Today known as Sarajevo's Haggadah, is a Jewish manuscript "illuminated" codex, derived from medieval Spain.
It is located at the National Museum in Sarajevo and owned by it since 1894, while previously belonged to Jewish family Cohen. Haggadah, along with the Jews, left Spain at the beginning of 15th century, and there is information that it was already in Italy in 1609. The Haggadah itself (Hebrew translation- "story" or "saying") is a collection of religious regulations and traditions introduced into the prayer order of celebrating Pasha. What the mainstream sources say is that; the special importance of this book was during the ceremonial family dinner - when all the people and the guests with the book in their hand read from, or followed, the stories from it, as well as everything that is in a ritual sense related to this famous Old Testament story.
We all know very well what this means, and that this is just one form of Torah that came from Spain to Sarajevo, where the leading Sarajevo Jewish "elite" Sjedić and Finci uses this book as Torah, with the same purpose, with the same goal. But is there really anything more special in the sense that is used against Gentiles and kept in secret that Kabbalah or Tora don't have? Let's expose everything step by step.
Dervo Sejdić and Jakob Finci, a citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 18th July 2006, pursuant to Article 34 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, submitted applications for the inability to become a candidates for members of the Parliamentary Assembly and the Presidency of BiH, as a jews.
To make long story short, they wanted to rule, and instead of golden apple, they got kicked in their asses, and it was them, who used the copies of original Haggadah to continue tradition of their Cohen origins. And I believe that it was them, who allowed this book to be copied so that "everyone" can use it, as they have told it to media , while in fact, copies of Haggadah can only be used by special people, which I will prove in the text below.
The Haggadah itself consists of 142 pages (1+4+2=7) in size 16.5 x 22.8 cm, made of thin and bleached veal skin. On the first 34 sheets there is basically old testament stories, from "creation" to Moses. The last four pages are an exception in the sense that they do not have a direct biblical character.
The next 50 pages contain the text of the Haggadah written on both sides of the square Hebrew letter of the medieval Spanish type. The last complete part of the book is the subsequent of a poetry-ritual supplement, which contains several poems of the most famous poets of Hebrew literature from the so-called "golden age" (10-13th century), such as Jehuda Halevi, Jichak ben Jehud ibn Gijat, Salomon ibn Gevriola, Abraham ben Meir ibn Ezra and others.
According to the note from the book itself, after the persecution of Jews from Spain (1492), the owner of book changed, but we don't know the names of either new or old owners. In a note dating back to 1609, it is said that the book does not speak AGAINST the church, which is probably the result of verifying its content from the Inquisition rulers, those who ware on the top of the Inquisition agenda. During the 16th and 17th centuries, the book is located in northern Italy, which is confirmed by two short notes on one of its pages, and when and under what circumstances it enters Bosnia, it is not known.
In the first days after the entry of the German military forces in Sarajevo in 1941, their authority stated to Joze Petrović (leader of Bosnia at that time) that they needed the book, to destroy it, after a while, they demanded it. Petrović, with the help of the curator Derviš Korkut, with the enormous risk of such a procedure, manages to disprove that request, and Haggadah moves to a safer place, according to credible statements, to a mosque in one of the Muslim villages on Mount Bjelašnica. In that mosque, the Haggadah was kept until the end of World War II. After the end of the war, the haggadah was transferred to the State Museum in Sarajevo. Haggadah was stolen many times, but also returned .. every time. It was confirmed that even the Jews tried to steal it, the same jews who didn't wanted it to be available in a wide publicity.
Recently, the Sarajevo's Haggadah is, for the first time in its history, accessible to a wider cultural public in a "specially secured" area, on "special occasions" and under well-defined conditions, to only a few Museum members as Museum director says.
