I am not sure I completely understand. So energy can be destroyed and yet it cannot? That in and of itself is a rather contradictory statement  that I do not have a hope of understanding without further explanation. Can you provide some so I may look further into this?   |

The way I understand it is energy is a constant, can't be created or destroyed, but it can be directed (or borrowed if you will) and given purpose and this is essentially what we do. You essentially can't kill something that's not alive.

I think what was meant is: both, created and destroyed. Well and transformed so all actually.  just thinking about it. I dot have enough physics knowledge to even bother saying anymore!
