I don't know about feeling sleepy after yoga as I have never experienced it. But yeah, you can feel sleepy after doing meditation. There may be a couple of reasons for it. One that you may be feeling exhausted (if it is late in the day when you are doing your meditation), hence feel sleepy. The other explanation is that, when you are doing meditation, you kind of feel a sense of calm and peace. Moreover, if you are doing proper meditation, you are in a trance and vibrating in the alpha frequency range, which is the same frequency when you are sleeping. Alpha frequency brings you certain bliss and peace of mind. Hence, there are very good chances that you may want to sleep to continue having the same effect after doing meditation. This necessarily doesn't have anything to do with being tired. This is the usual thing that happens with me after doing my full chakra meditation.
There is nothing wrong in sleeping after doing meditation, if you feel like it. But of course, if you don't want to sleep after meditation, just make sure that you have some activity to do after your meditation, so that you can move on to that.

I have found feeling sleepy after yoga or meditation is a sign of the body being in a recovery state. IE your health may not be 100% and the tired feeling is your body indicating to you that it needs rest and recovery.

Pay attention to your body as it tells you things which shouldn't be ignored. Sometimes when you do yoga it has the tendency to move the energy or qi around your body. If it is deficient due to lifestyle choices, overwork or periods of chronic illness you may feel tired after it moves around as this exacerbates the deficient status.

The foundation meditation can help with this, affirming as you draw in the energy 'This powerful *golden* (insert whatever colour you are using but I have found gold to be the best) energy is restoring my health. I am totally healthy and free of disease permanently and safely' or some variation thereof with which you are comfortable. Do this every day for as many breaths as are comfortable for you to do at your current level.

Well..for the sleepy part..its caused by the extream relaxation and comfortability.
And for the tiredness..i used to feel the same way when i was new..this is because your body is not used to the changed flow of energy or bio electricity.
If you do hatha yoga..even worse(i mean the more tired you will feel) But you will get used eventually.
