Hi Melodie. After reading your post, you seem like someone curious who approaches things with an open mind and without any bias as seen from your approach on different religions. You also seem someone intelligent as frankly, I couldn't understand the first half of the paragraph about validating idea's existence and what not but definitely know that its something very intellectual and beyond my reach of comprehension. Perhaps you could explain it to me, actually could you explain it to me ? This part particularly:
"since they are considered unfalsifiable and only validated more by the idea's existence, though I don't strafe too far into the skepticism rabbit hole"
I am not smart so could you explain it in simple terms ? Anyways, so I see that you plan on getting a gender surgery. To be honest, as like others, I also recommend strongly against it. Not because of mental health issues only
but actual physical complications too.
Please watch this video:

Whether you get the surgery or not, this video above should be helpful as it talks about trans people's experience/physical complications after surgery. According to one of the transgender people, his doc quoted a 50% chances of developing complications.
Frankly finding any video that correctly explained actual physical complications regarding transgender surgery was quite hard, especially so late at night and after not having proper sleep for days. However, using my inspiration and admiration towards you as a fuel, I finally found it so that whether you get the surgery or not, at least this video will inform you on what you are getting yourself into.
Mental pain aside, just the thought of having a person go through such physical pain and tens of surgeries to change their gender is not worth it in my opinion. One of the person in the video went through 50 surgeries which even made the doctor lost in thought and contemplating. Although the last two trans people talk about how all the torturous pain was worth it, you can see the self denial due to pain and regret in their eyes.
It would hurt me to see you go through such physical pain. Adding onto the mental pain, its just not worth it in my opinion. Also, see how the transgender people
adapt after post op in these two videos:

There are also other videos on her channel which explain the experiences about people both before and after getting the surgeries. I highly recommend you to watch them as it would be beneficial to you. My reason for you wanting to avoid the surgery is simple. It is because I simply do not want you to go through such physical pain and complications. It would hurt me extremely so, to see you go through such pain. I do not want you to live a life where you have to wake up 5 times at night just to be unable to pee, all the while seeing your family's best effort to comfort you despite their pain as seen in the video. The family's sadness is apparent in their eyes despite their best attempt at hiding them. The whole experience is painful not only for the one who is getting the surgery but the family overall. 50% chance of complications is just not worth it.
So please, whether you get the surgeries or not, at least watch those videos. I admire you and I do not want you to be paining 24x7. I look forward to your reply after you have watched at least the above three videos. My head is paining now and its late at night as I type this with deep emotions. Goodnight, oh I mean Good morning/afternoon/evening etc whatever the time is there. I look forward to your reply. Take care.
