Thank you I tried duck duck go typing in some random things and a lot of results came up so if it's not censored in returning results that's great I'll use it. I will try the other one as well. I'll see when I really have the need to research something. I still probably have to use google when I want to find a buisness or physical place the maps part but who knows maybe google was even censoring local results so I might find something interesting.

I tried doing some searches on this first one you suggested, and it tends to bring up a lot of porn in the image results even when you don't deliberately look up any terms related to it. Not that I'm claiming it to be bad for that. I'll try using it some more and see what else I experience.

I have ad-blockers so I don't know what kind of ads they use, sorry. Searx sometimes glitches and doesn't show anything. Instead, it gives an error. But otherwise has worked fine for me.

Honestly though regarding privacy and search engines, I just use what works. So far DuckDuckGo has worked without tracking me for almost everything, but sometimes I do get odd auto-complete searches. But all in all, it's for stuff I look up semi-often so I'm not too worried.

Also heard something about Brave browser lately, but I don't use it (yet).
