Initiation Ritual Question

Hello everyone,

I've got a question, I have performed the initiation ritual the other day. Everything went as planned up to the point of writing my name in blood. I couldn't exactly manage to get any blood out (while my finger was seriously hurting and turning red). Is this a problem?

Just before burning the paper, a giant bee flew into the room and started coming after me, which has never happened before as long as I live here. Also, while burning the paper, the flame started acting really funny. Once the paper was burned I blew out the candle but it didn't work, so I grabbed a bowl of water to put the burning candle in. However, it just started burning again after being underwater for at least 2 minutes.

Sorry for the long story but I didn't have a good feeling about not being able to use my blood to write my name. The strange things that happened while performing the ritual didn't exactly help either. The question is; should I perform the ritual again but with blood this time?

These strange things that happened during the ritual are a good sign the Gods were there, watching you.

I recommend get blood out and sign your name on this very paper, unless you've already burned it. If you did burn it, take another paper, get some blood out and sign your name. But don't make the other formalities. You've already done with the dedication. Now finish it with the blood and that's it!

Well I did feel a little strange after, more of a down feeling then a positive one. But I wouldn't say anything has changed.. I don't feel that different.

But yeah, the weird things happening while performing the ritual could be a good sign or bad because I might have offended him?

I might take Hailazazel's advice and sign my name with blood on a new, clean sheet of paper as I already burned the original one.

There is no reason you have offended him if you were sincere and respectful. Don't worry about it anymore. As I said, just sign your name with the blood and this will be a nice, smooth start.

Alright, thanks for the advice everyone

I will sign my name in blood on a clean paper and finish the ritual properly.

I'm hoping to see some positive results soon, as I'm going to start meditating as well. As of yet I haven't noticed anything different, but I know I just have to be patient.

If anyone got any advice for me as how to start my meditations etc, that would be great. I did read the JoS Website of course and I'm trying to study as much as possible to improve myself.

You shouldn't really be concerned with trying to see if it worked or anything else. Once you done the dedication ritual, completely ignore it and focus on empowering yourself. Put it in the past as something finished. It's really a waste of time trying to see if it worked, because not only you block your mind with all this worrying but you waste your energy on that instead of doing something more productive about your soul. To put it better, focus more on doing and less on thinking about random things in SS. The less you think about them and the more you do different things the better you will be.

Alright, I did it. I signed my name in blood, recited the prayer in my head and burned the paper in the candle.

And yes, I know it worked. At least the bad feeling I had after not being able to use my blood is gone (and not a feeling I created myself). I'm sure I can feel something. No strange things happened like the first time but it's a very strong feeling.
