initiation ritual question

Do I need inscents for this ritual like I do others

Incense like other tools are nice to have but never necessary.Many times I do a ritual with no tools or an alter.Its just personal decision depending on your advancement IMO.   Hail Satan

No its not necessary to have for a dedication ritual.Only a candle a pin a paper and a pen and a place to burn the dedication in and most of all your sincerity.  Hail Satan

A razor blade or box cutter knife would work also as those are practically painless.  
Also if you can't do it at home for whatever reason then find a location outside of your home domain.
Maybe you know of like a nearby forest or nature/hiking trail.  I bet if you go to any of those kinds of places late enough at night there probably won't be anyone there.
Just thought you'd want a few good ideas
