I'm new and did the ritual at about 11:30 and I was wondering if I should've meditated first or can I do it later. And was there something that was supposed to happen?

No, nothing was supposed to happen. You can start with the meditations as soon as you can (the faster the better); don't forget to clean your aura and chakras and put an aura of protection around you daily.
