Hey everyone. My name is Edgar and I am new to the demon summoning rituals. I have found that too much focus can be a bit problematic. My first summoning experience was fantastic; the demon showed up, and although I could barely communicate due to low advancement levels, I could feel him very distinctly, feel energy rushes coming through my clairaudiance points, and when he realized I was unable to understand his words he adjusted my eyes so I could see him to bridge the distance a bit.
I kind of summoned him, not really on a whim, but with low expectations. While I strongly believed in the existence of demons, I just never expected one to actually show up for me. I was taken quite by surprise when I felt his energy begin to manifest.
The second summoning I performed was far less successful. I went through all this preparation, tried to set everything up perfectly, sat down and focusedfocusedFOCUSED, and got almost nothing. I felt his energy start to manifest but I was so obsessed with having everything 'perfect' that I started focusing too hard and felt like the force of my concentration was sort of blowing away the energy beginning to form. After a while I had to apologize profusely to the presence I could barely feel and close out the ritual.
I think (cannot be sure) but think that your problem may relate to mine. In all sorts of magical workings I find that having too much focus can really ruin it. Try relaxing a bit, maybe even letting you mind wonder after you've chanted the name and focused on the sigil for a while. You may be surprised to feel something you didn't sense before. Also, don't plan ahead too much. I get better results when my gut just suddenly jumps at the idea of summoning a demon, even if I don't have the right things for the summoning. (Ex: missing the demon's color candle or am all out of myrrh resin, so on and so forth.)
