I wish to become a true believer

I have never heard any of this before, I thought satanism was about evil and demons and that stuff. I never knew it was something more. That's why I never specify the religion I have because I don't believe in God or Jesus, but I believe in Satan and believe he's the true ruler/God. Is there anything in specific that I need to know? Is there any specific music that goes along with satanism? Is Death Metal/Heavy Metal actually just posers or whatever?
