Anima & Animus[An-uh-muh]   Latin: air, breath, spirit, feminine of animus.   The Latin element, anima-, refers to “a living being” from a Latin form meaning, “of air, having a spirit, living”; which in turn comes from another form meaning, “breath of air, air, soul, life”.

Transformed into completely materialistic Jungian Psychological Bullshit.
Jung identified the anima as being the unconscious feminine component of men and the animus as the unconscious masculine component in women. However, this is rarely taken as a literal definition: many modern day Jungian practitioners believe that every person has both an anima and an animus. Jung stated that the anima and animus act as guides to the unconscious unified Self, and that forming an awareness and a connection with the anima or animus is one of the most difficult and rewarding steps in psychological growth. Jung reported that he identified his anima as she spoke to him, as an inner voice, unexpectedly one day.  Being a materialist, he didn’t believe in past lives.  He believed in the unconscious mind which is actually the most conscious mind there is.  Next he turned past life experiences into a group of self generated archetypes known as Mama.  He later attributed his experiences to dreams.
This horseshit was described as follows: The archetypes are collective as well as individual. One can create their own archetypes, based on an ideal one wants to emulate (e.g. respect or fear).  Archetypes can grow on their own and present themselves in a variety of creative ways.
Jung, in his book Memories, Dreams, Reflections, states that he began to see and talk to a manifestation of anima and that she taught him how to interpret dreams. As soon as he could interpret on his own, Jung said that she ceased talking to him because she was no longer needed.  So, when you realize that past lives are dreams and Mama shows you how to interpret them, you can understand past lives.  Self-realization was very much an exercise in receiving a “reach-around”.  However it remained warm and fuzzy when added to the Freudian ideas of sex for several years at which point Maslow developed a “pyramid” of needs which lead to self-actualization.  A great detour around the knowledge of spiritual growth.  Once one gets this and learns to deal with the “unconsciousness complex” called “the shadow”, you will finally come to confront the soul-image (materialistic archetype) “the appearance of the wise old man”; the “personification of the spiritual principle” distinguished as the next milestone to inner development.  In other words one can learn to accept your death.  That’s the only way to understand spirituality.  DATE:  031515  SOURCE:   http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Anima?s=tSOURCE:   http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/anima SOURCE:   http://wordinfo.info/unit/2388/ip:9
