Like going to the gym or becoming a professional sports player or athlete, you have to build things up over time, so if you expect it to work immediately after you begin the working, then you'll be disappointed and receive the wrong information and attitude about meditations and workings.
I have never done one, so I don't know how easy or difficult they are to perform.
