Wow, this was the exact answer I needed. It was intelligent and enlightening. It seems like something has been keeping me up all night, even though I'm dead tired. It felt like I was being pulled to get out of bed, go downstairs, get online, and ask this question. I say this because I'm normally extremely lazy when I'm tired, and won't go out of my way to get anything done. Yet, I did all this legwork to retrieve my yahoo password, and verify my primary email and all that. I just NEEDED to ask because I KNEW deep down I was going to get an actual answer. After I posted my original message I went back to bed and prayed again, but aloud. Then, just a few minutes later, I was drawn to check to see if anybody answered, because I just knew someone did. Given all that, and the fact that you gave the answer that you did, THAT was a sign. Now, I feel overcome with a new sense of confidence and enlightenment. I won't lie, there still are the faint voices in my head questioning all this, but I feel confident those will soon go away after the experiences that wait for me in the near future.
Thank you, friend.

The point, my friend, is that it is entirely up to you whether to believe it or not. As has been stated on the joyofsatan website, Father Satan does not push himself on anyone, and He entirely supports free will. He wishes to help you, but you must come to Him and prove that you are sincere.
First there's something you must understand. Father doesn't ask for sacrifices. I realize you were sincere in ripping the page out of the that filthy book and burning it, but that alone is not enough to prove to Satan you are truthfully loyal to Him.
I have a question for you. The act of ripping the page out of a book that you used to consider holy and a sin to deface, then burning said page as an honor to the enemy of your previous religion, and you did this out of your own free will with no fear, how do you know that was not the sign you were looking for?
The first step to getting answers is to gain knowledge. Go to the website,
www.joyofsatan.org. Learn everything you can. Then once you are educated and ready to prove to Satan that you are ready to follow His path and free yourself, then you will be ready to see Him and even speak to Him. Just understand, it will take time and hard work. He doesn't show favor to idle hands or slackers, and will not bestow any gifts or his presence to them.
Patience and hard work will be rewarded, I promise you. Unlike with that filthy lie that is the xtian god, you will come to know this as real. Put forth the effort, and welcome to the family, should you decide to stay.
And if you still question whether to believe or not, then obviously this is not for you, and you are free to go. The choice is yours. Good luck on the path of life.

I want to believe, I really do, but nothing to this point has led me to believe that I should. I grew up catholic and denounced my faith a while back. When I stumbled upon the satanism home page I thought that it could make sense and was hoping it was the real deal. Shortly after I prayed to satan, very sincerely, several nights in a row. I asked him to just send me a small, but sure fire sign that he was there. I explained in my prayer that I have been fooled before by Christianity, where that god would show no signs what so ever of existing. I even tore out the page of the bible where it defaces satan when he appears as a serpent and burned it, as a sacrifice to him. I asked if he or one of his demons could appear to me in a dream or something. There have been nothing of the sort, as far as signs go. Nothing that could even possibly be a sign.
What am I doing wrong? How can I connect with him, assuring me that this is all real? If I cant find proof, why believe?
