Hello.
I was wondering if anybody here could help me in getting the sweet tooth addict away?I can seem to stop eating candies and my body is already reacting to the sweets with pimples (Idk what else to call them, they're red and ticklish) and I just want to receive help on what to do....
Please help...
Thank you.

Sweet tooth is often due to one of two things - either a lack of energy or nourishment physically due to overwork, long term illness or years of poor diet or due to an emotional need to feel nourished as in a mother might do for her son.

Since you are developing pimples, which is an indicator of DAMPNESS, I can make two very simple suggestions which might aid you right away.

Firstly, avoid sugary sweet foods and instead choose from the below list of sweet energy foods to fulfill your sweet tooth:

Millet
Barley
Oats
Pumpkin
Squash
Sunflower Seeds
Yams and Sweet Potatoes
Licorice (real, not the sugary confectionery kind)
Figs
Honey
Cornmeal
Pomegranates

Secondly, actively pursue the activation and empowerment of your third eye and pineal gland in order to produce the feeling of nourishment that you may be lacking. Seeking this outside yourself in relationships may benefit you in the short term but finding it within yourself will benefit you for the rest of your life.

In order to clear up the pimples, try consuming DRIED Mandarin Peel (peel mandarins and dry the peel out in a warm, dry place where they can air, the more dry they are, the better it will work), avoid greasy facial moisturisers and creams and try to consume drying foods like lamb, lentils (chickpeas etc.), cumin, coriander seeds and fennel on occasion (at least one per day). I know some other members here have had luck with coconut facial creams etc. and perhaps someone else might add to these recommendations.

Of course, avoid refined sugars (you don't have to stop entirely straight away but a conscious choice to steer clear of them a bit more often will help) and heavy, damp, oily and raw foods (especially milk) until you are feeling better.

Well, what is your diet like in addition to sweets? Do you eat enough during the day? Do you eat enough healthy fats?
I stooped having cravings or sweets and such since I changed my diet to foods that actually nourished me.
Are you eating a healthier source of sugar such as carbs and natural sweeteners? They are not empty and deserve some purpose and benefit.

I became a vegetarian, but I snatched some meat from the temptings my body gave off after a month of not eating meat, at all.

Healthy fats??

Alright, I'll try, thank you

The more you meditate the more self control you gain. Just like with other addictions, meditation will slowly help you. After meditating for awhile, if you were a smoker, you will slowly start to crave them less and less <em>"The absence of darkness in a person does not suggest an abundance of light, for to know the light you must have known the darkness."[/B]</em>

I'd like to also add that dampness indicates an out of balance spleen and stomach, whose flavour is sweet food. You are basically overloading these organs by eating sweet foods all the time.

You might stand to help them out by also consuming bitter foods which pertain to the heart which can help generate spleen and stomach energy and increase the urination which will drain away the damp.

Aloe Vera juice is a bitter tonic in this regard as is black, unsweetened coffee w/ no milk - green tea has the same effect.

Pungent foods which make you sweat could also be used to bring the toxins out of your skin however these should be used in moderation as they can dissipate lung qi - chilli, pepper, mint are examples of pungent flavoured spices.

What symptoms are worrying you? The only way to actually check for diabetes is blood sugar testing. There are symptoms but the don't always necessarily mean diabetes.

I just wanted to tell you all that I am thankful of your help, it really works.
Also, on a side note, I started eating meat, again, and, well... The craving for sweets has vanished.Maybe my organism just needed meat and that's why it craved sweets so much?

Meat has a lot of energy in it which increases the blood sugar (in a good healthy way).
The muscles need energy to function.

Eating sweets gives your body a rush of very easily processed carbohydrates. However this is not sustainable because these sugars are very quickly burned up by your body aswell.

Meat along with the proteins it gives also has natural sugars in them which are normally present in the muscles (because meats we eat are the muscle tissues of animals). They offer a long term use form of energy where your body can thrive on.

Proteins take longer for your body to process and as a result also keep your body satiated longer, they can also be stored much better and they are converted into usable components much more efficiently than those sugars uypu get from sweets.

The rush you get from eating sweets is adictive because the body releases a lot of positive hormones when your blood sugars rise like that, but this rush of energy and hormones also burns out extremely quickly and basically because it is so inefficient for your body, creates an ever growing deficit of energy in your body, making you want to eat more and more sweets to keep this rush going.

Eating fish and meat is a very good way to give your body a sustainable energy source which won't give you an ever growing deficit. Of course the most important thing is eating a balanced diet, because if you only eat meat and fish you'll end up with too much fats for your body which also causes you problems.

Ah, I see.I never knew this before...I went to register at the doctor to see if I have diabetes... So we shall see next week.
Thank you for all for your help it is very much appreciated.
