O Antonius, ivy-crowned and bold,
In Thee the ecstasy of Dionysos unfolds.
Thunder of Zeus courses through Thy veins, Semele’s spark lights immortal flames.
Thou walkest where mortals dare not tread, A lover, a warrior, with glory wed.
In wine and battle, in laughter and sigh,
Thou teachest hearts how to live, how to die.
O Antonius, who overturns all fate,
In Thy presence, sorrow abates.
Thy crown of ivy, Thy chalice of gold,
Reveal Thy mysteries, Thy spirit untold.
O progeny of Zeus, I stand in Thy light, I
Dance with Thee in the sacred night.
Antonius-Dionysos, my God, my fire,
In Thee are my all immortal desire.
