Hello friends!
I was wondering, can we Zevism hunt animals? I have hunted previously and I have some ethic rules I have for myself like, I must give the animal a clean and quick death, I must eat the animal that I have killed,I should only hunt the animal when there are a surplus of them, I can only hunt them when they are in season, I must respect the animal, and i need to skin it and use it to benefit myself or someone else. I set these so I would not think that I could go and murder animals all willy nilly. So, can I hunt with these rules in place?
HAIL SATAN!!!

Only if it's for food. The intention also plays a role. If you just love killing animals and you use the food part as an excuse then don't do that. If you understand that it's bad to kill animals but you must do necessarily to eat then it's okay.

It is truly nice to see a true hunter. Yes of course you may with those rules for they are what you are meant to do. To have honor in the hunt and to use all the animal that you can and to respect the life that was lost so that you may have gain. Hunt well and may your kills be easy brother. :) Ave Satan!

You pretty much answered your own questions by the cautious and sense of the animal's well being.

Hail Satan

I understand that when i hunt I am taking a life out of this world. But I do eat whatever I hunt, and I make sure to give them a fair death, I hunt them with a bow, which I just feel gives the animal a better chance of survival. And it's what my ancestors would have done.

They say they do so if there is surplus, so it's not wanton slaughter. Sometimes numbers are to be kept in check. Some animal branch out from the woods, into deforested lands, and disturb the neighborhood in a bad way, too.

@the_fire_starter  That is an excellent point. I don't know how true this is but from an Indian Guru, I heard once that it's intentions which affects our karma not the action itself. Making the analogy of:

- You have a heart problem, I try to perform a surgery on you *intending* to save your life but you die.

- I am carelessly playing with a knife, I throw it, it hits you and you die. I didn't *intend* to do anything but you died.

- We get into a fight and out of fear or self defense I grab a knife and kill you my *intention* was just to defend myself.

- Everyday I am smiling to your face pretending to be your friend, all the while plotting and planning to kill you my *intention* was to kill you out of jealousy, hatred, personal gain etc.

In every situation it is the exact same action physically, a knife going into a person and killing. But the intentions are different, so the karma and effect on the soul and energies are different.

What do you think? I thought what you said fit perfectly with this description.

If these animals could hunt is they would. So go for it. Respectfully.

@the_fire_starter666 I have noticed what you have just said there in my personal life too. Guilt is a recurring pattern in my life. My mother used to use guilt trips a lot and now every relationship I get into with a woman I end up upsetting them in some way and wrecking the relationship and feeling a lot of guilt afterwards. This pattern keeps repeating itself. So I assume their must be some unconscious programming in me which is sending my energy towards things I don't want.
