I read somewhere on jos that in serious cases spell work should be respirated for 40 days straight. My question is that some spells work on certain moon phases so during those 40 days the phases will change. Should I still do it for 40 days straight?

What matters is the day you start the working. The moon and planets should be in proper signs and you need to avoid starting it on a void of course moon.
Example: I start a money working during a waxing moon in Leo on a Sunday or whatever. The moon signs for the rest of the days do not matter IF you do not skip a day. It’s when you start the working that matters.
