How Energy and Visualization Work, and How to Increase Your Chances of Success

AvatarAndranox6 min to read

Greetings, Dear Family in Zefs!

I would like to write this post because in my opinion, many people misunderstand how visualization and energy work actually function.

From my own personal experience, I very often used to visualize without any real feeling behind it, and I couldn't understand why I wasn't achieving success. Also, because of my nature, I always wanted to understand and figure out exactly how visualization itself could help me. After almost a year, I began to study and understand how visualization, and energy work in general, actually works. Just sitting there and visualizing your success or your goal isn't enough. Of course, it works for some people, but that doesn't mean the effect is something stable or reliable.

Visualization by itself is a method for directing energy. Essentially, you already have the necessary energy for your goal, and in order to direct that very energy, you visualize your success, thereby giving the energy a path and a direction, rather than just letting it drift on its own. Visualization without feeling or sensation is just a training exercise for the mind and imagination. You need to FEEL it, not just fantasize about it. The more astral senses you engage, the higher your chance of success.

As for energies: for example, you feel envy, that is energy. You feel happiness, joy? That's also energy. You're very angry? That's also energy. Once you understand this, it becomes much easier to grasp what energy work actually is and how visualization really functions.

Now let me give you an example of visualization and energy work. Someone has hurt you very deeply and you're angry, rage is boiling inside you. You need to focus on that energy, "notice" it, and feel where in your body that energy is located. Anger, for example, is often felt lower down, in the area of the root chakra, and that area can often feel like it's "burning" during intense anger.

Once you've found where a given emotion shows up, you need to give that energy a form, how? This is where VISUALIZATION helps you. Through visualization, you give form to energy that ALREADY EXISTS, in our example, that's anger. You visualize a fiery red ball of rage, you feel that rage, and you give it a form, for example, the form of a sphere. Then you compress that sphere and make it more concentrated but smaller, and after that you can work with that energy.

I strongly do not recommend sending such a ball of anger directly at the person who wronged you, since that energy is still a part of you, and no one in their right mind would want to create a connection with the person who hurt them. So this is where cleansing that energy comes in.

So now we already have our energy sphere, we've understood what energy is and how to give it form, and now all that's left is to cleanse it, thereby removing the connection to us. For this, you can use affirmations, repeated 9 times, something like "this energy is no longer connected to me in any way," and then you can imagine the "thread" connecting you and that energy sphere being severed. After that, you can say that this energy is now pure, raw anger, which can be directed at the person who wronged you (only for purposes of justice, not simply because you don't like someone).

What I wrote above can be understood as a kind of practice of alchemy and energy work.

Now let's move on to a new example. Let's say you want to find a job and earn more money. First, understand for YOURSELF why you need a lot of money. Maybe you want more money to buy yourself a car and feel better than your neighbor who also bought a new car? Or maybe you'll feel more confident if you have a lot of money? Notice, these goals aren't bad or something to be ashamed of, this question only needs to be asked in order to understand and have a clear picture.

Once you understand your goal, try to VISUALIZE yourself having a lot of money, having achieved your goal (for example, having shown off in front of your neighbor), feel those emotions, let them pass through you. Notice, in this example I wrote that you should start with VISUALIZATION, unlike the previous example, where you already had the energy you needed. This is another method for how you can feel the particular "energy" that you need, and visualization will help you feel that energy, but in order to feel it, you must experience the emotions, not just dryly visualize, as I already noted above.

After successfully visualizing with emotion, you can feel exactly where that particular emotion shows up in your body, and then you'll need to say affirmations. For example: "Large sums of money come to me under the most favorable and safe conditions and manifestations for me." And then you breathe that energy into yourself and forget about it for a while.

*You shouldn't check your bank account every second after that, it's like planting seeds and then digging them up every time to check whether anything is growing.

Now, a brief timeline of the process: You visualized your goal → you felt the emotions you needed → you obtained the energy you needed → you gave the energy direction through affirmations → you received that energy.

Also, the timeline for the first example: You started out angry → you felt where in your body the anger was → through visualization you gave the anger a form → you spoke affirmations and separated that energy from yourself → you directed it at the person who wronged you.

I gave you two examples, one where you TRANSFORM energy that is ALREADY IN YOU through visualization, and a second where you OBTAIN the necessary energy through proper VISUALIZATION.

Thank you for your time and attention, and I would also like to note that what I wrote above isn't some kind of secret, it's simply a detailed understanding of information that has always been available. In the next post I will post about working with runes and directing their energies.

I would also like to thank Queen Astarte and Father Ares.

Amazing post!

I'm still learning, the same way as you do, the same way as we all do.

I’d like to add to your excellent work on this topic—thank you so much for writing it.

I believe the concept of visualization is much broader than what is commonly understood. Not everyone perceives or processes things in the same way, and perhaps one mistake is assuming that visualization necessarily means constructing a clear mental image of what we desire.

In my case, for instance, I rely much more on feeling. Through sensation, I’ve been able to work toward and achieve certain things, and I’ve also noticed my inner hearing becoming more refined. That’s why, when I want to work with something I desire, I don’t necessarily try to see it. Instead, I feel it with my hands in the present moment—as if I were already interacting with it—and I also try to sense what it would sound like. In this way, the process becomes far more physical and sensory rather than purely visual.

This has taught me something important: visualization doesn’t have to be limited to sight. There are ways to experience what we seek through touch, sound, emotions, bodily sensations, or even a combination of different senses. The key isn't just "seeing" the result in our minds, but allowing our consciousness to have an experience deep enough to truly grasp what we are striving to achieve.

Furthermore, I think there is an even deeper issue at play here: often, we want something without ever really asking ourselves why we want it.

We might envision a goal, achieve it, and then discover it doesn’t bring us what we expected. We might think we need money, a specific relationship, an object, recognition, or something else entirely—but what are we truly seeking beneath that? Security? Freedom? Pleasure? Recognition? Power? Peace of mind? A sense of belonging? A specific feeling?

This is where consciousness comes in. It is not just a matter of asking ourselves "What do I want?" but also "Why do I want it?", "What do I expect to feel when I have it?", and "Do I truly desire that thing, or do I desire the experience I believe it will provide?"

We might even reach the exact goal we set for ourselves, only to discover that we do not know how to enjoy it. That is why I believe the process should not end with obtaining what we desire. We also need to develop the awareness to recognize what we are seeking, what energy we are pouring into that desire, and what we will do with it once it arrives.

In this sense, feeling, visualizing, listening, or engaging any other sense can be different paths to connecting with the same intention. True depth lies in learning to perceive what is happening within us while we do so.

For me, that has been one of the most interesting parts of the process: learning not merely to "visualize," but to perceive. And the more that perception develops, the greater the chance of discovering that what we called visualization was only a small part of a much broader undertaking involving awareness, sensation, intention, and experience.

Although there is much talk here at the Temple about visualization, the importance of engaging all the senses is also emphasized. I find this particularly important because not everyone perceives in the same way. Some people have a greater aptitude for touch, others for taste, hearing, or sight. At times, the task is to work precisely with the sense we have most developed and find a way to utilize it.

For many years, this was a source of frustration for me. I tried to visualize in a specific way because I thought I had to, only to find that it did not align with my natural rhythm. Over time, I came to understand that I could approach the same process in different ways and that my sensory experience followed its own unique path.

That is why I consider experience—and finding one’s own rhythm—to be fundamental parts of the learning process. It is not always about immediately achieving what we are told we ought to do; rather, it is about experimenting, observing how we respond, and discovering which mode of perception works best for us. Sometimes, learning to work spiritually also means stopping the struggle against our own way of perceiving and learning to develop it instead.

Once again, thank you very much for addressing such an important topic.

Thank you so much for adding such important details. It is crucial to understand that we are all unique, and what works for one person might not work for another.

I would also like to add an interesting point about visualization:

There are different types of perception and intelligence. One person might easily visualize a PICTURE and clearly see images in their mind, yet be unable to physically or emotionally feel what they see. On the other hand, there are people who cannot even picture an apple and see only darkness, but they can vividly feel the smell of the apple, its texture as they eat it, and so on.

Therefore, it is essential to realize that you don’t have to force yourself to SEE something when you can FEEL it. The most important thing when working with energy is taking the shortest and most direct path. When you use a method that feels natural and comfortable for YOU, visualization becomes so much easier.

The key in this work is understanding that energy and its direction are what matter most. You can physically feel money - its scent, its texture - even if you can’t visually picture it, and that won't stop you from reaching your goal. That is why feeling is more powerful than seeing.

And finally, I’d like to add: embody the feeling that your goal is ALREADY YOURS. Right now, even as you read this, ask yourself, "How would I act if I already had X?" Act as if you ALREADY have what you want. Be the person who ALREADY possesses it.

I also forgot to add a special thanks to Brother Anemos for the technique he shared with me, which helps condense emotions and amplify them through the visualization of a 'sphere' or orb.

Thank you a lot, Dear Brother Anemos ⚡️🙏🏻

This is the targeted reply.

Also, as evident in the Awareness Meditation, one can feel this emotion (and others) with all 5 senses together.
