What you are saying here is something that might apply to you, but this doesn't apply to everyone, everyone is unique even in the way we learn. If you take me for example, i am quite the air head, if i would try to do what you described i would get a massive head ache or completely forget what i learned. I learn best when i absorb bits and pieces of information here and there, being able to apply the information right away can help a lot as well.
The main thing that will help one to study, is to open up their mind, most people especially those that are not Zevists have a very foggy mind, simply advancing under the gods can be a huge help in this.
