Hinduism corruption

Can someone ease explain how Hinduism is corrupt, when and how it happened and the difference between Hinduism and Satanism. I'm reading about the two and planning on reading more but I do not want to waste my time if the wisdom is false, because I have Hindu mentors and I planned on manifesting a Hindu wife.

Hinduism had its origins in spiritual knowledge, but was corrupted over time. Modern Hinduism hardly resembles the original and is basically Christianity in disguise.
