Hello Brothers and Sisters.
I watched movie last night that I stumbled upon by accident. It is called "The Magdalene Sisters" by director Peter Mullan. It is based in 1960's Ireland during the what I call, "Ireland's dark age" when the catholic church had it's stronghold over this beautiful country.
The movie is based on a TRUE story, and is fucking TRULY a punch on the catholic church's face. Back then, in the 60s (this continued until the 90s), the whole social system was totally controlled by the church. Marriage and sex were the hardest hit. Women who became pregnant before marriage, women who were raped and not believed by their families and even women who were "too beautiful" were totally frowned upon BY THEIR OWN FAMILIES, and society and sent to "Asylums" or "Laundries" for being "sinful" and "fallen". These places were run by religious orders in the catholic church.
Women were often kept there their whole lives, cleaning, getting fed shit and getting HORRENDOUSLY abused and intimidated by nuns. All to "return to god's grace" like. Many tried to commit suicide, and run away. And most were renounced and disowned by their families.
I believe Ireland will be one of the first nations to wake up to the Truth. The rate in which people are abandoning so called "institutional religion" is rapidly increasing. Even last year, the Irish Taoiseach (prime minister) made a speech in the Irish parliament severely criticising the Vatican for it's abominable doings to innocent Irish women and children over the past century. It's called the Cloyne Report, and it is on jewtube. Let us not forget the rape of children by priests who were the leaders and figures of authority in society.
This movie is on free movies websites if anyone is interested in watching it, but I really recommended it.
I watched it last night, and I was about to go insane. We must keep on fighting this filth, as it is up to us. We must never give up.
