They work, compared to all the other hogwash you can find on other websites. These other websites all have conflicting information and that is why you are confused. I recommend you stick to JoS in your journey as a Spiritual Satanist. Your guardian Demon(s) and Satan-Lucifer will also guide you to other information, personally useful pertaining to your spiritual and/or mundane life, if you seek them and have a relationship with Them.
However, please make sure you have dedicated your soul to Satan-Lucifer before starting the meditation on JoS. It is not possible to advance through power meditations or personal studying without His protection. There are enemy entities out there (Greys, Reptilians and enemy Nordics) that would like nothing more than to stall, attack and/or harass dedicated Spiritual Satanists in their personal journey of empowerment and seeking knowledge.
