Help With Ritual Items

Hello everybody, I have a question about my ritual items. I'm new and wanted to the dedication ritual and i thought i had a blue candle and it turns out its a purplish blue candle, will this still be a considerate color candle? Also I wanted to a standard ritual to Father Satan and I don't have a chalice and cant afford one to soon and was wandering if a glass, mason jar, or a shot glass would do. I know about the Astral Temple and I prefer doing it the other way. Any answers will help. Thank You!
