Hatha Yoga Timing and Breaths

Hi,

Can you tell me the following regarding my situation.

I have a nightmarish sleeping pattern due to my profession. I need to wake up and work at random times, and this can be as much as 3 "mornings" a day for me. As I get up and go to sleep several times through the day.

So is it fine if I simply do hatha yoga "in the middle of the day", and not when I get up the first time? Will it be equally effective?

Also, in the 40-day program, what is meant by breaths on hatha yoga? I did hatha yoga as instructed in the pdf  simply holdaing each position by 1 minute plus. Is there breathe and pause kind of thing involved during these positions? So that you dont misinterpret, I mean hatha yoga, NOT kundalini! Thanks.

I want to bump this as I need some clarification.
Presently I only hold the hatha yoga positions for 1 minute each. Should certain "breaths" be done during hatha yoga position hold? Like breathe and pause while holding a position still?

Personally I do not do any "breaths". I just breathe normally while doing Hatha Yoga.
As for the timing, it is okay if you can do Hatha Yoga only at the noon, or even only at morning or night. But it is important to do it daily, as energy builds each day. :)Hope this answers your questions.
