I wonder if you have to be meditating to perform the RTR in order to carry out the ritual?

I was wondering if its neccessary to be in a meditative state to perform these RTRs, i have good memory and all, but this is far impossible to remember with my eyes closed

You do not need to be in a meditative state to do the reverse torah rituals. You can do the rituals with your eyes open.
