Just wanted to say hello, didn't seem right to just jump in and start replying to stuff right away.  I've worked in a fairly popular occult / voodoo store for a while, which is primarily where I got my start into spiritual ways of thinking.  They offered psychic readings there, and they had a staff of talented readers of different paths, occult magicians, runic magic, different styles of voodoo and witchcraft, black arts, chaos magick, etc.  I had the pleasant experience of being able to study with this crowd, as well as socialize with them and I feel it gave me a good 'scope' of integrating spiritual knowledge into everyday life and how that can be an entertaining and joyful, fulfilling life.  They're seemed to be a good mixture of neophytes who were just plugging into the mysteries and searching with wonder, and the experts who were always kinda half-here and half-elsewhere.

Anyways, I myself feel like an 'entry-level' type of spiritualist, though I have to admit I feel I was communicated some powerful perspectives from some of those psychics, and am thankful for that, even if I'm not quite certain what to do with it just yet.  I've since moved away to a different city and kind of miss that lifestyle, so I'd like to try and further my spiritual studies with groups that seem to focus on the same types of styles and systems.

With all due respect, is this a strictly dogmatic group?  For example, if I were to be studying the knowledge here as a chaos magician, is this valid or considered offensive?  I liked reading that some Satanists worship him as deity and some consider him a friend.  I do understand the corruption of mainstream religions and have no arguments there, but for instance, do you feel the Kybalion and Hermetic teachings are legitimate?  Regardless of the answer, I do not doubt or question the group as from my experiences I have reason to believe that Satanic witchcraft and the like can also bring enlightenment just the same.  I'm just testing the waters here to see how friendly people are towards systems that aren't questioning Satanism as a valid world among others?  If I were to say the word Gnostic would anyone through a brick at me?

Thanks for any replies and glad to join the group!
