Good skills to have in these coming days?

Monday, I plan on downloading the website in its entirety. I'll try to get whatever other sites I can. I speak of JoS primarily, as i've not really been active on the..others.I'll look for the other sites, see what I can get.
Buying silver is my thing though. I have..a chance, but there's..well..I'm still thinking. Saying "it's impossible" is bullshit; that's how the mind makes it a reality. I'm coming up with things I can tell my mother to get some silver..an ounce or two is better than none, right?
I've already planned ahead for my medication(insulin), that's been handled. Doesn't need to be refridgerated, so that helps.
My major question is..skills. Ok, I'm decent at computers in terms of hardware, pretty damn good in terms of software..I can sew, I can cook(but our stove is gas powered), and clean..I'm not a professional 10 year veteran or master worker in any of these fields, but I got it. I can learn fast, too. Both my parents can weld and do mechanical work, and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty..
We're not going back to the stone age overnight, but I imagine some things will be...difficult. Some things will affect us suddenly..
I'm not looking forward to April 17th in the LEAST..ok, a bit; debt based currency disappears, we might have a strong currency to help us SS recover. Maybe.
What skills should I work on? What would be immediately helpful? I'm going to make sure we at least have supplies over the next few days. Not much time. I screwed up by not believing the information back in November, and I screwed up by not preparing with silver. I'm not done in yet, I can still prepare somewhat. I just need advice from people who know more than me. Do I ask the impossible?

I'll just tell you some things I did. I printed all of Joy of Satan, tried to get things to be able to hunt, fish, even some seeds to grow crops and did some research on these things. I also got some books on survival such as wild edible plants, just generic survival books from amazon. I got a bunch of camping type stuff too. So far I got a weeks worth of food probably. Honestly I haven't even got silver yet but I plan to soon. Neptune will be in and out of this degree on and off until leaving in January 2017 so that's a big window I don't know exactly what or when it will happen but I pretty much just prepare for anything.

Thanks. After going over some things, I'm mentally prepared, but not able to purchase much, if anything. My parents probably won't believe me.
I'll see if I can get some more info off the internet. I'll keep trying but, yeah. This first hit is gonna be rough, even sad because I know about it.

What book on edible wild plants was it, by that, I mean which author? I found one on amazon
A Field Guide to Edible Wild Plants: Eastern and central North America (Peterson Field Guides)I'd like to get the best book possible. I already know how to fish, I can learn to hunt, and I can buy seeds for tomatoes, purple hull peas,  etc..

Yea that's the one I have, its by Lee Allen Peterson. Its a good one, the best I'm sure. If you get survival guides like SAS Survival handbook by John Lofty Wiseman, which I got too it has a lot of useful information, there's several like it that's just the one I choose. I got another one too about edible plants just to have another source its called "edible wild plants: wild foods from dirt to plate" by John Kallas. It has like detailed recipes and stuff.
