Monday, I plan on downloading the website in its entirety. I'll try to get whatever other sites I can. I speak of JoS primarily, as i've not really been active on the..others.I'll look for the other sites, see what I can get.
Buying silver is my thing though. I have..a chance, but there's..well..I'm still thinking. Saying "it's impossible" is bullshit; that's how the mind makes it a reality. I'm coming up with things I can tell my mother to get some silver..an ounce or two is better than none, right?
I've already planned ahead for my medication(insulin), that's been handled. Doesn't need to be refridgerated, so that helps.
My major question is..skills. Ok, I'm decent at computers in terms of hardware, pretty damn good in terms of software..I can sew, I can cook(but our stove is gas powered), and clean..I'm not a professional 10 year veteran or master worker in any of these fields, but I got it. I can learn fast, too. Both my parents can weld and do mechanical work, and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty..
We're not going back to the stone age overnight, but I imagine some things will be...difficult. Some things will affect us suddenly..
I'm not looking forward to April 17th in the LEAST..ok, a bit; debt based currency disappears, we might have a strong currency to help us SS recover. Maybe.
What skills should I work on? What would be immediately helpful? I'm going to make sure we at least have supplies over the next few days. Not much time. I screwed up by not believing the information back in November, and I screwed up by not preparing with silver. I'm not done in yet, I can still prepare somewhat. I just need advice from people who know more than me. Do I ask the impossible?
