FUCK CHINA : US Moving to “Turbocharge” Cutting Chinese Manufacturing

The US wants to сut industrial and supply dependence on China amid rising tensions between the two powers. However, not everyone is eager to pack their bags and leave the lucrative Chinese market in the midst of the previous row.

The Trump administration has long been pushing American firms to get back to US soil, especially when trade tensions were flaring between the two biggest global economies. Now the US has revived the trade war rhetoric again.

We’ve been working on [reducing the reliance of our supply chains in China] over the last few years but we are now turbo-charging that initiative,” Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment at the US State Department Keith Krach told Reuters.

Krach as well as other officials told the agency that some critical and essential manufacturing should be moved from the country, and the government may take steps on it soon. Apart from the US’ seemingly favorite options of tariffs and sanctions, the plans may include tax incentives and potential reshoring subsidies as well as closer relations with Taiwan – a move which has always angered Beijing.

Washington is also mulling the creation of what one of the officials called ‘Economic Prosperity Network’ which would include companies and groups from some “trusted partners.” The network is set to share the same standards “on everything from digital business, energy and infrastructure to research, trade, education and commerce.”

China’s vital role in global supply chains was felt sharply amid the coronavirus pandemic as many international giants – from tech to car industries – are reliant on the country. The pandemic has forced some US companies to seriously consider at least partial relocation and changing supply chain strategy, according to one of the latest polls conducted by the American Chamber of Commerce in China and its sister organization in Shanghai. However, the majority of firms said that the outbreak does push them to turn their backs on China.

Nevertheless, one of the “China hawks” told Reuters that the virus created “a perfect storm” as it “crystallised all the worries that people have had about doing business with China” and the damages from Covid-19 have eclipsed possible profits.

Absolutely NATIONALIST. US will make its own shit. They don't need no communist slave labor.

This is going to be a difficult and long process, a transition like that from something so ingrained the way it has been isn't going to be easy, especially for a lot of businesses, not that I have any real understanding of such economic topics.

But I'm glad the first steps are being made in working towards the greater result.

Amidst this quarantine the countries have had to rely on their own grounds and means to resources... which is working well enough to the degree of understanding that with proper distribution, attention and appropriate efforts we can entirely rely on ourselves and we don't need one power for virtually everything we have.

It's just a matter of sorting everything out from the ground up. The economy will never be the same, and going forward depending on our efforts, this can be a very good world-changing thing or a very bad hindrance. It all accounts to the long-run.

I'm litteraly gonna cry!!! This is a HUGE WIN!!!

It's so good seeing these kinds of changes. Bit by bit we'll get back to how things should be, and eventually live in natural law. Thanks for the post.

The Communist regime threatening to stop any medical shipments to America during this virus crisis in America that was created by China.... Probably helped to allow many to understand the danger of outsourcing your economy.

Why should we espouse enslavement of people into very cheap labor for any reason? Its inhuman for a person to be paid 1$ per hour to do so called "Labor" until they want to fling themselves off of a skyscraper to save themselves from this.

The only people who were benefitting from this were really huge industries. We can just redefine prices in the West and redefine the value of labor, and produce locally, and the products will be high standards and better like they are supposed to be.

Money is modular and we decide the value of labour, we as societies. There is no point to pay Communists to do this for us at our expense. Plus, this will make sure, if utilized, that nobody will be left out of work. We decide who gets to work and how much should people get paid, and by having a control over production, we control our futures and independence.

The time will come where "Made in China" will be replaced by "Made in Europe" and "Made in the United States", and not by people who want to fling themselves off of windows living in capsules and feeling like they want to die everyday.

I personally espouse this in full. We will also return to normal things like labor union and other things, which progressively will help in everything, and as Yehuborim powers in give in, a better life standard will be built. Also, we will not be hostages like now, many countries were terrified that they wouldn't be able to feed their own people if the crisis continued on the deep end. That's sick and abnormal.

Yehuborim and as Chinese production model proves, want to take us all out, replace 70% of us with machines, and the rest will be worked as slaves regardless. If this happens then it's all over. Economic Nationalism is the future this is what this "crisis" proves. Globalism is for the trash can and puts the life of people in danger.

If Billy Gates claims that our biggest risk is ever emerging pandemics [to argue in his own language that is] then this only proves that rampant Globalism will in the end kill us through some sort of major pandemic. It's not the way to the future or towards stability. National co-operation and autarky is on a continental level. And from there on we will all be safer and stronger.

Apple and others had it good selling a phone that costs 50$, 1500$ on the Western Market, but they could produce for 150 to 300$ on the US and still sell for 1500$ without the United States risking medicine extinction every-time some flu like virus emerges. People would also appreciate where their bucks were going in that case.

The Founding Fathers wanted it this way...and it took that long? Well, I have heard it being said before "American justice is slow", so maybe other things are also slow there. Dirty Yehubor.

Put this into perspective. If you get stopped by a cop, and you get a ticket, he doesn't give the ticket to you. He sends it to your house in the mail, and it takes a month to arrive. Let's say you want to fight it, you send it back to the courthouse saying I want to fight this ticket because they don't give you a court date yet. Then another month later, they send it back saying you show up for court in 3-4 weeks.

It takes 3 months to fight a ticket, 6-12 months to fight misdemeanor charges, and years to fight a felony, that's how slow our justice system is.

It has been shown that much of the medical material that China has been sending to Europe was defective.

This is going to be huge, this may also be exactly why we were warned to stock up as I’ve been thinking this would happen for a while. I’ve noticed the stores are still stocked but rather than immediately think we’re out of the water, I think this is probably the most likely explanation for the need to be stocking up. The US is massively dependent on what China provides, even in an attempt to slow a cut off, the USA may not be able to increase production fast enough to provide for its citizens. It’d be wise for us to begin practicing complete independence of China bit by bit to stay ahead of the curb, and to yet again, stock the fuck up on necessities and begin finding other ways to have these things.
