From 'must' to joy

AvatarDarkAries2 min to read

Greetings!

Recently I slowly but surely started enjoying the road, instead of fixing my eye to the destination. I dont exactly know how I did it, since I was only focused on achieving things, but I did ask the gods a few months ago, "Great Gods, please, help me, so that my journey is not a struggle, but of ease and joy".

Different power meditations cause enjoyment, now long sessions seems like a wellness. Doing things because I would like to, not because I have to. For example, one day I was too tired, so I only did some void meditation, other day long kundalini yoga, other just staying in my garden, on the sun and power meditating, because I felt like it.

Like in the start of Thus spoke Zarathustra, one transform into a camel, than a lion, and finally into a child, who sees everything as a game(for any other Nietzsche-nerds here).

Sure, only downside is that Ill advance a bit slower for a while, but thats just because a part of me still dont belive that progress can be fun and enjoyable. Its a bit uneasy feeling to loosen, or even let go my control.

Just wanted to share this.

Have a lovely day!

Yes, I think this is good.

We shouldn't push ourselves too hard. Nothing in excess.

Enjoying the present is one of the greatest achievement and not many people reach that level of wisdom. It's simple yet it's all you really have, right now.. the modern mentality is "i'm going to stop hating life and enjoying It as soon as i'm rich, or married, or famous" or whatever; but that's a trap.

Also, Zarathustra got a literal Caduceus as a staff from his aoprantices

Also as brother Anemos Aiteros linked few times in VT those days, it's good to read this Ethics page about being in the present.

"O yea that have believed in me, honor my symbol and my image, for they remind you of me. Observe my laws and statutes. Obey my servants and listen to whatever they may dictate to you of the hidden things. Receive that, that is dictated, and do not carry it before those who are without, Jews, Christians, Muslims and others; for they know not the nature of my teaching. Do not give them your books, lest thy alter them without your knowledge. Learn by heart the greater part of them, lest they be altered." Al-Jilwah, chapter V
