Wow, I spent a good hour to 2 hours thumb-typing a well composed article on the title's subject, when I meant to highlight/copy it to archive it in my personal email something went wrong and I lost it completely. Well, not completely, as I shall re-produce it from my memory right now--lucky I have time today.
Ok, so many of us are born into poverty and lack. And those of us who have had that opportunity, wish to change that situation. I am here to tell you that YOU CAN, and I feel it a Satanic obligation that I share some of my knowledge and experience with the family--you.
Being born into poverty myself, I know that money really does matter--that u can't eat, have clothes--or decent clothes or a place to live without it. So those who say "money doesn't matter" need a reality check--i find it's those who have ALWAYS had plenty of money/resources that say unreasonable things like that.they're like a fish in water that's never been out of water, or they're just deluding themselves.
The main factors into being financially prosperous are self-discipline, determination, and WORK. But working "hard" isn't enough, one has to work smart AND save--which also takes to great deal of discipline to force one's self to live below their means.
In all my studies on the subject of building wealth and gaining financially, one story stands out more than any, and I hope it will help.
I read this in an old book, that there once was a man who lived in the middle east about 6,000-8,000 years ago when it was a bastion of prosperity. Through misfortune, a man had been captured and put into slavery. While they were being captured, another man they called "Pirate" chose to be belligerent and refused to work or coorperate--he was later killed--brutally. An elder man gave our protaganist the advice to "be an eager worker, even if your master doesn't appreciate your work" "make work your friend" "with work, I have been able to earn and enjoy the good things in life, and I shall do so again" "hard work brings self-respect". The man took the advice of the elder and kept a strong determination through various obstacles. And it was his eager work and diligence that eventually bought his freedom through a friendship he had developed in the course of his labors--extra curricular labors he volunteered to do on top of some of his already strenuous duties.
When you are an eager and diligent worker, even if you think people don't notice, it will bring a greater respect for yourself. And trust me, if you keep it up, year in and year out, people WILL notice. Satan and the Gods of Hell will notice, and you will create a positive vortex of energy around yourself, becoming unstoppable. Obstacles that discourage and stop others from moving forward will seem laughable to you. Instead of "turning mole-hills into mountains" you take on "mountains", and they seem like "mole-hills" and it feels great.
Living below your means and saving become doable. Better jobs and income opportunites open up to you as you increase your skills and qualifications.
After years of doing mantras, chants, meditations and visualizations, the only breakthroughs I really had came when I actually applied for jobs, invested in certificates and trainings and continued to move forward despite many obstacles and setbacks that came my way.
Words are important, and so is the mentality we carry which greatly comes from the words we choose to bathe our minds in, but without work, all the words mean nothing.
