First check the 4th house. The sign on the cusp, aspects to the cusp planets in it etc. Also check your natal moon. Including the house, sign and its aspects. Similar can be done with 12th house. Nodes are indicators of your past lifes too. And from what i know Saturn placement gives you a clue as to where most of your negativve karma from past lifes is.
