I see a lot of Occultist such as Helena P. Blavatsky and others, did do spells in order to get money. What does JoS think about it? Is it unethical?

This is not right in my opinion. While everyone has the potential to do magic, saying "give me money and I will do it for you" instead of suggesting that they reveal it is doing harm to humanity.

Interesting, two people replied and both got a different idea from OP's question because it's ambiguous. And of course, both of you are correct.
Maybe the OP needs to clarify whether he's asking about doing spells to attract money for yourself or charging money to do spells for others. Because the first is OK and the second one is scammy and we never do it because we teach people to do their own workings. Sometimes Zevists do workings for others but we never charge money.
Also Blavatsky never cast spells, she was a mystic not a magickian. Her organization denounced magick.
