Does Romans descend from Trojans?

Troy was a city. Trojans are people who lived in this city.

Does Romans descend from Trojans?
This is one of the many legends that concern the foundation of Rome, which however does not change much, the most feared story in consideration is that of Romulus as founder, from which the name Rome derives, who is however the son of the god Mars. Aeneas in the same way according to some legends would be the founder and son of the goddess Venus, what is important is that whoever created Rome descended from the gods.
The most probable story is that of Romulus, because of archaeological findings and because the martial qualities of Rome are highly evident

I was trying to understand that in the context of the Illiad.

So Romans are the Sons of Ilias, similar at how Gentiles are called sons of Esav. This is an example at interpretational level.

Rome is still alive to these days, in other shapes and forms, maybe the Iliad can have some codes that we can link to the present, or at least at the events of the past, like the Roman Empire.

This seems interesting, I want to know more about the Iliad at a spiritual/interpretational level, it may be a very actual book.

As far as I know, the Iliad was the "bible before the bible", followed by Greeks. Not only the Iliad alone, but still.

These are probably allegorical to spiritual matters from which the Glory of Rome did come from.

It can be even more ancient than we thought, Ancient Greece can go back to probably 40000 years, the Illiad may be 10000 years old.

But for now these are speculations.
