I have performed the dedication ritual as instructed on the site, I was just wondering how can I be sure that I have done it properly as I know it is made clear in the site this should be done once and once only.

I had the same question when i have done my dedication ritual too. You can't really, the only think you might feel is that you are more protected but like all spells and rituals you must "Know" that what you are doing is done right.(Always question yourself before the spell is done afterwards is bad, better take it off your mind - this is the general rule, with dedication i don't think that anything bad will come from thinking about it).
