dedication and alters

Ok im getting ready to do my dedication and i didnt kno if this should b done on a alter? if so what do i need to make one and is the a specific place i should put it. if i dont i still wiuld like to kno so i can sstill make one thanks.

Read the joyofsatan.org page, it tells you that you dont need an alter for the dedication ritual. Its more about the intention if anything. I did mine on my computer desk.
