Death: Handling Deaths & Loss

AvatarHigh Priest Zevios Metathronos6 min to read

As a Zevist, one will experience the aforementioned realities in the title. These are part of the natural cycle of life, and one cannot escape from these consequences. One can delay and make sure that the quality of time spent with people is good, quality and superior, but they cannot escape the reality of loss.

The time will come in life where either others might lose us, or we them. This is nothing we can escape from and the sooner we become aware of this, the better, because when this is understood, we will cherish our moments with others and understand that the time with anyone we love [be it animal or human] is of major value. The moments shared, time spent together, the mission we had [if any] during our life, are all the important things in life.

In the face of loss there are two aspects we will encounter. The human aspect; loss, devastating depression, the feeling of even abandonment when our loved ones have to go. Mourning must happen and yet we must recognize that this loss is strongly rooted in our emotions and our biology. We mourn because of who we lost, what they were to them and them to us, and likely an un-fillable gap that that our loved ones leave. Certain relations in this life, cannot be replaced.

One has to confront this and understand that this is why it's so important that we do what we have to do with people, when they are here, with us and not always "at some other time". Do not try to block this natural process, as internal damage can occur. One must feel and accept the pain of loss, however great. Yet, Zevism gives the key to understand the reason behind loss and the purpose of reality in itself.

Death brings us in front of what we value. If one faces their death or that of others, we become immediately aware of what matters most, and how frivolously we might have been spending both our lives or what we do with others. What remains out of life, is memories, good moments that are part of our mutual soul path. The loss of very good people can be something that harms us deeply, yet what should harm us the most is if we in the end, did not do what we have had to do with the important people in our lives.

It's important to also think that if people were to leave this world, what we would like to tell them or let them know. Life can go suddenly or with the expectation of death and it's always good to be at least a little bit aware [not obsessed, but aware] over this topic. This makes us see life and others more maturely, instead of taking them for granted. Many relations, friendships, or either existential missions fall apart because human brain laziness takes things for "granted". Nothing is for granted in this life. The words we did not say and the things we wanted to share, it's better we make our preparations and do it before it is too late.

Now, the face of loss has also the spiritual dimension. In the case of the enemy, they have a partially realistic narrative, that of life in the "beyond". That is true and taken directly from the Ancient Religions which knew this to be a face. Regardless on if we know this to be a fact, even experiential [if one has transcended, or they know enough, or they have some experiences, they will see for themselves] - one will still experience loss. The people of the false religions have no experiential knowledge about this, so they just "believe" and "belief" in this case is not enough. Zevism can help someone deal far better and more maturely, but based also on proper knowledge, about the idea of death.

The acute understanding of the mechanism of death, but also the understanding of life itself, make death appear in a more friendly fashion. Most people out there are materialists and therefore extremely afraid of death. For the Zevist, even from the basic to the advanced levels, all the content of what life and death are, actually changes. Still, no matter what, death remains a very mysterious topic and a borderline inescapable reality, so one must respect death and must not say pointlessly they are not "afraid" of it. Being afraid or not is the ultimate test, but if we are to be honest, death is always a mysterious situation.

Yet the Zevist is wholly equipped whether hypothetically we "know" or there is something "we do not know". We know, but let's take as a hypothetical that we have no clue and that it's "the end". Zevism is useful even in this false hypothetical.

Zevism protects you because you focus on life and making it valuable, like the most of it. When you live that way, you are more cleared out of the fear of death by default, as you live your life and do meaningful things, which satiate the soul before it's journey. This by itself, saves someone from the major fears that have to do with death. Knowledge of the deeper occult, absolves eventually of the worry that one will "disappear" after death and gives meaning and continuity to existence in itself.

As Zevists we must understand that mourning and everything, is natural. Yet, we must also as we are spiritually adept and see, not ignore the things that are given by experiential exposure to us, ie, that death is a transition and not the end. When one truly knows this, fear of death and other realities that deal with our mortal part, are very much lessened.

Ritualistically, when one sees and knows the Gods, or when people experience direct cases of animal reincarnation or related events, during their lifetime, or astral travel, they know that life does not end with death. When this is understood, one starts getting free from the respected and most fateful force of death. The Gods are here with Rituals and rites, to show us, in the subtle levels, how things can continue going onward. These are great mysteries, but also, the final frontiers of existence.

Death must be held in very high veneration, alongside life, and we must not shy away from examining or looking into it. After all, what we learn from the existence of death, is the value of life, ourselves, the people and beings that we love. The most grim opponent is also the greatest teacher and the facilitator for manifestation. The Zevist, being filled with life and purpose, faces what everyone else faces, from a different standpoint. This standpoint means everything not only in the face of death, but also in life.

The more we embrace this, we attain freedom of the master and the tormentor of all non-Zevists. And that's a badge of honor for those who will attain this. Blessed be Thanatos and Death, for they teach us how to live.

Hell if someone I value so much dies, I automatically do a ritual to Lord Anubis and ask him to take his or her soul.

Something's clicked on me, I shouldn't be using this tone around here anymore. Sorry to anyone who felt off with me speaking like that especially to a High Priest.

Thank you High Priest.

Very beautiful. And heart touching. Living more for me is very important. Seeing and reading Sermons how to do it helps me very much. Thank you HP Zevios.

First of all, thank you for this wonderful text, because it comes at the right time in my life as a Zeviste!

Having lost several loved ones in recent years, I often say to people the following sentence: "I am grateful and I appreciate what I have and those around me because tomorrow, it might not be there anymore."

It’s my way of seeing things now, especially since I became a Zevist. I lost childhood friends and pets recently and this pushes my gaze further and more subtly towards death but especially in my appreciation of life, even if it is painful and difficult. Thank you for this message!

Thank you High Priest!

I'm still learning, the same way as you do, the same way as we all do.

Thank you High Priest for this powerful reminder to be grateful for existence and the preciousness of life 💭

I am still at a life stage where I have not experienced the loss of any close loved ones, but I do see my parents getting older and more fragile as time goes by... it fills me with so so so much relief and healing to know that the Gods will look out for them when the time comes 🙏🏻

I am so thankful I found Zevism, this path has empowered me in endless ways as I am taught about the mysteries of existence and given permission to truly appreciate and eventually be closer to understanding it 💭 A very important sermon! 🙏🏻

Thank you very much HP for such a great reminder, the importance of life and not to take things for granted. Life is precious and should be experienced to the fullest.

Dearest Holy and All Mighty High Priest Hoodcobra, is not death just what we call it when a system that is considered a living being experiences a change that causes a downward trend that can't be stopped even with the spiritual authority a living body naturally has? I know this is a very plan way to view it in the most basic of terms but change causes death because they are one and the same or is this a serious correction on my part that is needed Your Spiritual Grace?

Power without Kindness is cruelty, but Kindness without Power is weakness.

Thank-you, High Priest!
This may be too mysterious to ask, but when you say that death is "borderline" inescapable, does that imply that in the process of the Godhead, one must experience death itself?

This is the targeted message.

Thank you, dear High Priest, I have always been fascinated with the topic of death, afterlife and immortality since my childhood. When I found ToZ, I felt so happy and powerful because of knowing what to expect in this regard. This in itself is unimaginable advantage over those who are without, who either falsely disregard this life by believing something better expects them after so they do nothing, or those who do all the things, even horrible and unethical things because they believe they will never be punished after they die. So as a Zevist, you avoid many negative pitfalls by knowing what to expect of Death and thus how we should live. What is now is important, this life and what we do with it. Not past lives or future lives.

Very well put High Priest. Before applying the teachings that we learn here as followers of Satya, I was extremely welcoming of death, as I felt it would liberate me from a lifetime of psychological and emotional pain inflicted by one that was supposed to show me love and affection.
I realize now that the life that was given to me was very useful in preparing me for transcendence and gave me the tools of understanding that I must do all that I can for my race, our Earth and humanity as a whole while I am here physically.
Eternal gratitude to the High Priest/Priestess for working tirelessly to bring us these tools.
Eternal gratitude and glory to the Gods!

Thank you very much.

When I was a child, I lived next to a cemetery for a few years. In winter, when it got dark earlier, life there was even more gloomy. There was always a strange feeling present.
As a Zevist, I realized that the strange feeling was caused by the presence of the energy of death.

Thank You High Priest! It really puts into perspective that our time here is limited, and we must make the most of it, to be with loved ones, to create new bonds, and to see the end of others. Birth and death will always remain sacred, intimate moments for every person.

This made me ask myself: what are the most primal fears that humans have?
