Common Misconceptions About Love Magick

This is something I wrote for my blog, but wanted to share with you guys too. There's actually a part in the second paragraph that was inspired by something another member here said. (Firestarter if I remember correctly.) Anyway, here it is.

There seems to be quite a lot of confusion surrounding Satanic love magick. Most people argue that it is unethical and wrong; that you are forcing someone to love you against their will. In truth, they are quite wrong about it.

First, allow me to explain how it all works. When someone uses magick to convince someone to love them, they are not forcing unwanted emotions and thoughts. What happens is that certain thoughts and events are presented, causing the chance for love to happen. It merely influences someone in favour of loving you. In reality, it's no different to flirting or dressing a certain way to get someone's attention.

Love magick cannot be undone. I mean, sure you can convince someone to fall out of love, but you can't "break" the spell, so to speak. All feelings created are completely natural and are not forced. It's as real as if you'd convinced them in any other way. Of course, like all relationships, if it won't work, it simply won't work. No amount of magick will fix it. Well, it might, if you want to get technical… Oh bloody hell. I'm pretty sure by now you understand what I'm saying though? Please don't make me get technical.

Most people who have been in a few relationships themselves, will understand. You get the ones that just seem to fit into place, and then you get the ones that wouldn't fit together if you beat it repeatedly with a hammer. Take my most recent relationship for example. He was undoubtedly completely in love with me, but the relationship itself was a complete disaster. What I'm trying to say is that love magick will not make everything fall perfectly in to place.

Anyway, here it is in a nutshell. Love magick is completely natural and does not force someone to love unwillingly. It is also not the perfect fix for something that could never work to begin with. It is something that should be embraced and used whenever one wants. It is not a tool for manipulation like many people seem to think.

Have you also heard another common misconception where people think that using a spell or boosting your aura to make yourself more attractive is more "ethical" or less manipulative than casting a love spell on someone?? I've seen that a lot in wiccan books, and even Spiritual Satanists have bought this myth. In truth both are the same thing, not to mention that the first could be MORE manipulative actually, because instead of attracting a single person you create desire in more than one people.

Programming your aura to be more attractive IS recommended over using a love spell for a single person, but for a completely different reason. You'll get to meet more people and evaluate them and see who's really for you, instead of using a love spell in a single person who may or may not be for you. Sometimes, appearances are not what they seem, someone who looks beautiful may have a real shitty personality. People who use a love spell on someone usually do that because of superficial attraction and not because they have seen their behavior or compatibility with them.

Yeah, I agree with you on that. It's also good to keep in mind that
you remember to program it to attract the right kind of attention.
It's no good if you only end up attracting crazies. And now that you
mention it, I definitely see the advantage. Focusing solely on one
person can be a bad idea, especially if it's obvious they aren't right
for you.

Hmm, maybe I should have also included something about this. I just
noticed that a lot of people seem to be talking about love spells in
general. So I directed it towards that.
