Combining Runes

How does one combine runes when vibrating and meditating with them. Say, for example: if I wanted to combine the runes of Uruz and Isa, would I breathe in, exhale and vibrate Uruz and then breathe in again, and exhale and vibrate Isa? Or, would I breathe in and breathe out UruzIsa in one long exhale?
