Not sure if that's true, I'm not arguing the point, but as I personally don't have proof or disproof I'll point out another reason: it's also to keep us down, more like slaves (healthy people are more likely to rise up and fight for freedom and so on). And the "medicine" people take for colds, congestion, etc, can make us really sick in the long run. Plus, more money for them, from selling us their "medicine".
