I fell into minimalism almost by accident. i love modern minimalist design, the raw beauty in simplicity. my apartment is pretty modern but i wanted to make it more minimalist and the process started talking me on a fulfilling journey. I threw out and gave away over 20 bags of useless crap to de-clutter. no one needs 5 shampoos at a time or 20 old t-shirts they dont wear. so stripping everything down to the bare essentials while still keeping the nostalgic things.
I realized as i was creating this new design for my home not only did i like what i saw but also what i felt. happiness and freedom! decor now consists of fresh flowers a couple of plants and a bowl of fruit, non-permanent things that bring life to a room.
cleaning is easier, choosing is easier, i use time better, and now with less stuff i have room and money for better quality of the essentials.
Then this minimal idea went further. my kitchen is full of organic fruit and vegetables from a locally owned market but i was aware of how important that was. at places like wal-mart where you have food, clothes, and house supplies in one store you tend to lose track of what you need and overspend with so many choices surrounding you. its said that if you are overrun with choices you actually choose not to choose and allow ads and bright packaging to do the thinking for you. we live in a world where we are pushed to buy buy buy and what you own shows your status. but its not the quantity of your things its the QUALITY!
so now i shop for food, clothing and supplies at three different places. i put my grocery receipt of $45 on the fridge because looking at it makes me happy seeing the money im saving hahaha! someone once told me if it doesnt go bad within a few weeks its probably not that good for you. im sooo happy to see fellow Satanists waking up, taking care of their health and mind it makes me so happy! i dont know any other group of people so dedicated to life than us Satanists! ive been on such a great happy trip lately and that mixed with my daily meditations makes it a million times greater! HAIL SATAN!!!!
