Light a candle under a ceiling fan. See how the flame jumps around and never grows?
That is how our energy is. We need to calm ourselves (through meditation) so that our inner flame can grow strong and bright instead of jumping around.
We learned as children to not let things bother us, so little agitations stay inside us, but destroy our calm. The little agitations add up and grow with out us even knowing we are bothered.
Watch the flame jump around and as you listen to your breath try to will your inner flame to grow tall and still
