In the state where i live, illinois, you legally just have to quiet during the moment of silence and you don't have to say the pledge. they can't force you.
So what i suggest to really piss off a few xians is to pray to satan during the moment of silence. If they try to get you in any trouble ask to speak to your schools social worker. Study law and i know it. They have no right to violate the First Amendment, Freedom of Speach .

they can NEVER EVER make you stand up and pledge your allegiance to the US. go to your princapal or teacher and tell them that no one can force you to pledge your allegiance to any country and it is illegal to punish you for it. please respond back and tell me what they say... also i have great respect for you for standing up in what you believe in.

if they were to have stated that the intention was to pray to the enemy, then legally no, they couldn't. however you can challenge this, and ask what the intention for the moment of silence is. just make a big fuss with the administration, see if it gets you off the hook.

I know some states require you to do it, but even in states like IL, where i live, everyone looks to the pledge as something we must all do. I get confronted as well for just sitting during study hall while everyone else stands. Never been kicked out or had threats made, just take the bitching they throw at you and say you should be entitled to your own opinion.

 Sad I know. they did the same to me, Instead I would say "In Satan we trust" then during moment of silence I would usually eat something or make any distracting noises, and you're right. They DON'T pray to that wormy little maget of a god, they just stare into space like morons with their thumbs up their butts, Don't worry though they'll pay the price soon enough. it's only a matter of time.

ok remember that the pledge is a bunch of meaningless words. just say ''in father we trust''. I know for a fact that xians refer to their god as father occasionaly.

I always refuse to say it too! I hate what they say about god...
But did you know that at one point in time they said moment of prayer? Someone got mad at that so then they changed it into a moment of meditation, but then someone got mad at that and now it's just moment of silents.
