I did a binding recently to my girlfriend's parents. You can see my post about it, but to make a long story short; I bound their negative energy towards me and my gf. It was very effective! They didn't magickally start liking me, but they are more respectful and open to working things out. It won't suddenly give peace. It will open the path to peace.

I just meant it as an example, not really doing something like that.

My question mainly was, can binding be also used to bind someone to make them keep acting a certain way, not just bind them to not do something, but also bind them to do something? Tie to them an emotional state, or certain thought or an certain action?

That is not how binding works. It is Saturnian energy, and Saturnian energy can be used to limit and restrict, among other uses. If you want to influence someone in another manner, use another type of energy.
