I noticed that his idea of the prime role of women is that of broodmares and that, although they would be allowed leadership positions in his world, it seems it is by concession only and purely secondary to their prime function as breeders and wives. In other words, he's still hanging on to a patriarchy that pretty much negates 50% of the talent pool.
