Astro Apollo Major Release - 21/06/2025

Greetings, Family of the Gods!
On this great day, we are thrilled to release a new version of Astro Apollo.

As you already know, the Temple of Zeus is constantly improving and evolving. With this release, we are enhancing our Astrology site, which is dedicated to our beloved God Apollo.
For Him, we strive to create something beautiful and worthy of bearing His Name.

This update significantly improves the visual appearance of the site, adds new features, and includes optimizations to the overall project code.

There is still much to do and many features yet to come, but rest assured, we are continuously working to provide the best and most meaningful tools for your spiritual growth.

I want to thank @Maelstorm and @Sonne , who redesigned the entire site and helped me implement this high-quality content.
My deepest gratitude also goes to @HPS Lydia , who always supports me in Astrology matters and beyond.

As with every major update, if you encounter any strange behavior or bugs, please let me know by commenting below (and don’t forget to tag me so I get notified).

A few additional notes:

  • The top search bar is currently non-functional, but we are working on it.

  • We've removed the "Generated Key" feature in favor of saving user data directly in your browser.
    Click the cog icon to the right of the search bar to open the Preferences sidebar, where you can save your information.
    In the chart form, click the floppy disk icon at the bottom to load saved data into the form.
    Note: In Incognito Mode, your data will not be saved after closing the browser.

  • The "Current Planets" section on the homepage uses the location saved in Preferences. The default location is Rome.

  • The light theme mode is in development.

  • Some language keys are still missing, so when switching languages, a few terms may still appear in English.

Thank you, I understand your point. I think we may enable it, at least until a point where the keys will not be needed.

Thank you for your sensitivity and understanding regarding the matter, dear Brother.

If it's not too much work on your end, this kind of backwards compatibility would make a lot of people very happy and no one sad. Either way, I look forward to seeing any and all new improvements by our glorious developers.

But I have 1 gripe. When on the solar return chart there are no house lines like there used to be. A long time ago when looking at a return chart there were lines showing transiting houses, which would show which planet was that year's chart ruler for yourself. They eventually were taken out and never came back.

Hello, yes, they were taken out because those houses were not necessary when doing transits and returns charts. Thus, I removed them to keep the chart cleaner

The design and the colour palette both look gorgeous! As a suggestion, maybe in a future update someone could create two separate location features: one used to generate charts, and the other one used to generate the current sky. Otherwise, users (especially those who moved cities in large states or those who changed countries) need to manually change the preferred location each time they switch between the 2 functions.

I can't see the house number, only the planet appears without clarity, but the description does, so I can guide myself, this is on iOS.

The new update looks amazing and I hope Lord Azazel is proud of it and I am sure He is , looks like the best astrology website ever and I hope to contribute towards the cause and all as much as I can esp to astrology regards.

Can you elaborate more on "I can't see the house number" part? Do you mean in the chart? What is the issue? The size, the color, brightness?

yes sir!
in the description of each planet, and in which the numbering is its respective house, it is not visible as before, it is a silly problem that does not concern preceding the meaning. this is repeated both in the natal chart and fixed stars.

@Hidden Warrior [SG], Thank you very much for your work and efficiency.

A detail, and from my perspective, a bug (if it is intentional, please clarify my view)

In planetary returns, more specifically in displaying the houses as well, is it better to have one field divided from another? and without description? discrepant from the standard astral chart checking model?

Is there any advantage or refinement compared to the old one? I don't feel the slightest ease.

And a viewing point when you enter the preferences, the part where you can select the location, it is impossible to change it because it was not set to perfectly fill the screen, it ends up exceeding. It is only possible to change it if you reduce the display.

Dear Brother,

Thank you very much for your amazing work. I tried one key, so I can't speak very generally but it seems to work flawlessly so far.

I have to ask. Is the capability for creating new keys very intensive or something? Because it really feels like it's way too convenient a feature to leave out. I am sure I am not the only one to have kept archives of people's birth information in case they need to consult me again, or I need to check something, etc. Of course, even backwards compatibility is awesome and I'll count my blessings but since tools are for the whole community, I cannot help but make suggestions for more features.

Also, now that I am using the new layout a bit, I could make another suggestion. The new Interpretations section is pretty useful; but why is it above the Aspects table? The Aspects table is something I actually consulted a lot, it was a great shorthand to quickly check things and it was the only place to check how strong an Aspect was. It being dumped at the bottom kinda bums me out. And perhaps some people prefer the new way. So perhaps you can add a way/setting to rearrange what sections come in what order, or perhaps turn them off/on entirely? For myself, I'd turn the Interpretations off since I can always reach them easily by clicking Show Info on any planet and easily navigating there; but I also do understand that some other people may enjoy having it all laid out for them. So this kind of update would make everyone happy.

Also, for people on small-ish laptop screens, like myself, perhaps a setting to have the Placements next to the Chart again would be great too. Again, some people will probably prefer a more scroll-rich experience, and some people like me love having things compact and easy to reach.

Looking back, it seems I have made quite the shopping list of suggestions. 😅 I did not set out to write this post with all this in mind, I initially just wanted to report that yes, Keys seem to work. But then the rest just poured out. As always, feel free to take some, all or none of this into account. Or maybe you'll like some of it but it's not that easy to implement it in the short-term. Well, either way, we are all in it for the long haul.

Any possibility to add the more minor planets like the asteroids and all that like Juno, chiron, Eris, eros, vesta, Pallas, etc? its a really cool service all in all. Hail Apollo! Hail Zeus!
