I don't think it's wrong to get "addicted" to astral projection, it is a lot of fun.  You are actually encouraged to do it as much as possible to get familiar with the astral planes.  I've had fun experiences.

  LOOL i had just a similar fear. I was afraid that i might just loose my body after i project astrally. HahaIn the beginning, even before i came to Satanism, it happened naturally to project myself astrally. But I had this great fear that i might get lost in the astral and that I'll get stuck in there. So all the time i was blocking this and sometimes i was even having a little struggle to remain in my body (this was the case when i was starting to project during the sleep). When i look back now i can only laugh about it.

  Also, the astral cord is always within you, it's not something that exists only when you project astrally. It's what connects your physical and astral bodies together, that being cut off means that the astral body will separate from your physical body, i.e. you'll die.

It's not like somebody will take an astral scissor and cut it when you project astrally, that's silly and stupid, if they could do that they would also be able to do that when you were at your body and they would kill you instantly. That's a silly fear to have because this has nothing to do with astral projection.
